As we wrap up season 1, we are both reflecting and realizing that we would be no where without love. Love sustains us. It keeps us whole when we are being torn apart. It’s the thing that keeps us going, that reminds us to turn our faces to the light of God when all we feel is darkness. It’s what propelled us and led us to the creation of Spirit Outspoken. It’s what reminds us that things happen for us, not to us. It’s what led us to every beautiful thing we’ve ever done or experienced. Whether it’s grief, or the relentless pressure of a scary diagnosis, or just life getting the best of you remember that God is love and this love lives within you. All you have to do is be open to experiencing it and receiving it.
In season one, we learned about the special nature of spiritual love, known as agape. We learned how we can benefit both physically and mentally from the Buddhist practice of loving kindness known as Metta. We each deserve loving kindness and this isn’t something we need to earn. We are granted this simply by being souls in human form, God’s creation. It’s a tool we can leverage when we can’t see through a negative situation and all we want is relief. We learned about the power of love from the Bible. Love is something we can lean on, something we can “do” when we feel helpless or too exhausted to have hope and faith. Scriptures tell us love has influence and we can leverage this powerful energy when we need it most. The Bible tells us that God is love and that we have a spirit of love and that perfect love casts out scary emotions like fear. We learned about the powerful force of oxytocin, and that by extending love and kindness to ourselves and others we can create a chemical that can quite literally heal our hearts, bodies and minds. Love is simply magical and taking time to learn about it and understand what it is, gives us a glimpse into who and what God is.
We are both fascinated with the concept that we are hardwired for love. We both believe souls came here to show love, express love, to be love. We believe that we all chose to come here to remember that we ARE love in human form. If you are struggling to find connection or you don’t know where to start to find more joy in your life, we welcome you to open your heart and start with love. Ask God to show you where to go next. Trust us. You will be shown the way.
We hope you enjoyed listening to season 1 as much as we enjoyed creating it. We simply can’t wait for season 2.
Lots of love.
