I have been spiritual my whole life – drawn to life’s magic, synchronicities, and the mysteries of God and the universe. A few years ago, things started to shift. I became more aware of God’s energy, angels, and my own intuition. Looking back, it’s clear to me that God was preparing me for what was about to happen.
In 2023, my second oldest son was diagnosed with Leukemia. We knew right away to lean on our faith - leveraging prayer, visualization, and love to navigate some of the hardest days of our lives. The events and miracles surrounding his diagnosis and subsequent healing changed everything for me. My son woke me up and I started to remember who I really was. My priorities, passions and purpose changed overnight.
I am so passionate about spirituality – learning about it, writing about it, speaking about it because of the miracles, love and joy it’s brought to my day to day. Through my own experience and vulnerability, I hope others will connect with my story and laugh along the way. I believe that spirituality gives us hope, faith, and love and the more we can use these powerful emotions in our day to day, the better we will all be. This Gemini’s ultimate goal, and purpose in this life, is to heal myself and hopefully others through the pursuit and understanding of the universe’s mysteries and spirituality.
About Rachael
I spent the majority of my life trying to run, avoid and achieve my way out of grief, fear, anxiety and trauma. Four decades, two children and one worldwide pandemic later, I finally accepted that I had some “stuff” to deal with. I began with the more traditional therapeutic methods, but quickly became obsessed with learning everything I could about spirituality, the mind-body-spirit connection and the various ways that our faith and divine practices can aid in the healing process.
As I began to put what I’d learned into practice, there was an immense shift within my spirit. An incredible transformation that was like nothing I’d ever experienced before. For the first time in my life I felt truly alive and unafraid. I began to show up differently in the world, with greater patience, authenticity, bravery and love. There was true contentment and peace within my soul. The constant hum of anxiety that used to serve as the background music of my life was finally silenced. I felt free.
My hope is that Spirit Outspoken will serve as a platform for others to do the same. A safe space where we leave all judgements and biases at the door. Where we can talk candidly, laugh loudly, ask questions and learn. A place that can honor and respect a multitude of spiritual practices, religions and belief systems; all while honing and developing our own faith to serve as the foundation for a deeply personal, transformative and healing experience here on Earth.
